Artichoke Alfredo

Ingredients
- 8oz. Pasta (short is best: ziti, bow tie, etc.) Cooked al dente
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 1/4 lb grated parmesan cheese
- pepper, to taste
- 1 can artichoke hearts, cut up into fourths
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced (optional)
Directions
1. Add garlic to butter, over low heat.
2. pour in the parmesan and pepper, stirring until all cheese is moistened. Add the cream.
3. Add the cream, continuing to stir occasionally until all cheese is melted or is nearly so.
4. Add the quartered artichoke hearts. Cook until warm.
5. Serve immediately over pasta.
