Sybase Server-to-Server Data Transfers
Using the Openserver RPC known as rp_sqlredirect one can quickly and easily copy
tables and portions of data from one server to another. By combining this ability
with Sybase RPCs one can quickly create a web of server-to-server data transfers and
procedures that help to acheive server independence for locations of data. This is
necessary because ACS has several servers devoted to specific functions, such as
transaction data, query/reporting data, test systems and test systems with live production
data.
